A. Annual Total Remuneration Package:
Total annual remuneration package of Basic Salary: R289 365.93 (plus benefits:
pension. Medical aid scheme, housing subsidy and 13th Cheque)
– Relevant NQF 6 Tertiary Qualification.
– 3 – 4 years of relevant experience.
– Specialized knowledge on the compilation of the budget and compliance to MFMA
– Three years of accounting or budget preparation experience in local government
Knowledge of mSCOA regulations and application.
– Knowledge of municipal administration.
– Accountancy knowledge and ability to reason regarding book keeping.
– Knowledge of developments regarding controls and accounts.
– Understanding of local government environment
– Computer literate
– Ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels of government and with all relevant
– Managerial skills and Leadership qualities.
– Good thinking and interpersonal skills.
– Driver’s licence code EB
Assist with preparation of annual and adjustment budget according to MFMA requirements.
Preparation of budget control processes through the execution of instructions and guidelines
relating to the calculation and forecasting of income and expenditure, financial transaction
updating. Responsible for populating and reconciliation of budget input information in terms
of National Treasury approved format and structure. Compile and submit budget monthly
reports timeously as needed and prescribed. Ensure that external and internal budget
consultations take place as subscribed by the MFMA. Coordinates and reports on the
utilisation of grants and subsidies funding in compliance with the division of revenue act
NB: Qualification and SA citizenship checks will be conducted on all short–listed
candidates. Successful candidates will be subjected to screening and
competency assessments. The successful candidate will be required to sign an
employment contract before commencement of duty, a performance agreement
and disclosure of financial interest.
