- Annual Total Remuneration Package:
Total annual remuneration package of Basic Salary: R289 365.93 (plus benefits: pension. Medical aid scheme, housing subsidy and 13th Cheque)
- Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant NQF 6 Tertiary Qualification in Accounting / Salary Administration / Financial Administration.
- 3 – 4 years relevant experience and knowledge of local government payroll functions (Payday) will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of municipal administration.
- Knowledge of GAMAP Financial Statements.
- Understanding of local government environment.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels of government and with all relevant stakeholders.
- Good thinking and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license (Code EB)

- Key Performance Areas:
Payroll and salary administration. Monthly salary payments. Allocate and implement Salary packages. Implement third party payments and statutory deductions. Monitor compliance of staff to the time and attendance system and procedures. Ensure effective IRP 5 administration. Administration of the overtime payments. Ensure effective functioning of the payroll system. Handle salary related enquiries. Ensure liaison and communication with external and internal stakeholders. Provide reports on the functioning of the section according to management requirements.
