- Annual Total Remuneration Package:
Total annual remuneration package of Basic Salary: R499 280.20 (plus benefits: pension. Medical aid scheme, housing subsidy and 13th Cheque)
- Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in Traffic Management (NQF6/7).
- 3-5 years relevant experience as Senior Traffic Officer / Traffic Assistant.
- Extensive knowledge in traffic management as well as traffic management legislation and policies.
- Knowledge of municipal administration.
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Work independently and strong team leading skills.
- Understanding of local government environment
- Computer literate, traffic management network will be an added advantage.
- Ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels of government and with all relevant stakeholders.
- Managerial skills and Leadership qualities.
- Good thinking and interpersonal skills.
- No criminal record.
- Valid driver’s license (Code EB)

- Key Performance Areas:
Planning and implementing comprehensive traffic strategies. Develop and implementing traffic policies, protocols and procedures. Create detailed schedules and set deadlines for various stages of a project. Meet with clients to learn about new project details and give progress updates on existing projects, communicating any issues. Monitor projects and workloads, adjusting assignments and deadlines accordingly. Oversee traffic operations and asset protection. Oversee the traffic functions for employees and customers. Monitor tracked time and utilisation rates. Review timelines and schedule changes with employees. Review budget spending. Oversee and evaluating traffic tools and technologies including traffic systems. Mitigate traffic risks and threats within the municipality.
